On October 8, 2010, surrounded by some of the country's top chefs, retail partners and members of the media, All-Clad kicked off its 40th anniversary celebration with a cocktail reception at the esteemed James Beard House in Manhattan. The evening was the first of many exciting endeavors All-Clad has planned for celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2011.
"We're extremely proud to say that we introduced bonded cookware to professional chefs and home cooks 40 years ago, enabling a superior cooking experience that had never before been possible," said Melissa Palmer, vice president, marketing and communications for Groupe SEB High-End Brands. "We've been manufacturing cookware in the U.S. since 1971, so it was the perfect setting to kick off our 40th anniversary celebration with our friends at the Beard House with such a rich culinary heritage of its own."
Party-goers were treated to a sneak peek at the commemorative cookware that will be available in 2011. Limited-edition pieces will be available in All-Clad's Stainless, Brushed Stainless with d5 Technology, Stainless with d5 Technology and Copper-Core lines.
All-Clad Metalcrafters was established in 1971 by accomplished metallurgist John Ulam. Ulam was awarded more than 50 U.S. patents specifically related to bonded metals. He was also instrumental in the U.S. Mint's conversion from solid silver coins to the bonded layered metals used today. Just three years after the company was established, All-Clad became the only American cookware brand to manufacture a complete line of cookware in the U.S. Since that time, All-Clad has introduced eight additional lines and has become a household name among professional chefs and home cooks across the country.
Hazen and Associates is proud to represent All-Clad in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska and we are eager to show you the entire line, including the 40th Anniversary commemorative pieces.
